Michelle L. Vignari RN, CIC currently is the Director of Infection Prevention and Disaster Preparedness for Thomson Health in Canandaigua, NY.  She has more than 20 years’ practical clinical experience, specialties include surgical nursing, clinical leadership, Board Certified specialty in infection prevention, trained in hospital epidemiology principles.  In 2011, she was one of 12 professionals chosen nationally by the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology as a Hero in Infection Prevention and is past president of APIC’s Finger Lakes Chapter.   She has served as a regulatory compliance subject matter expert and consultant in the area of Infection Prevention.
